Weekend Specials

Well, you have to give me some credit. I said last week that it looked like it was going to be a bit on the chilly side this week, I mentioned a bit on the “brrrr” side. I think I missed it by a few “rrrrrrrrrr’s” though. I know it’s winter and all, and we on the North coast should be used to it, but come on, how about a break! But remember, it is still on the toasty side within Fratello’s (I know, I pay the bills!), and we’d love to see you turn your nose up at ‘ole winter and head out to see us for some good food and wine. We will be featuring Wild Stripped Bass, Red Grouper and Lamb Stew this weekend, plus maybe another surprise or two, and we’d love to see ya’!

Last week I mentioned the Bordeaux style blend red wine from Washington state, The Reveler from Revelry Vintners, which is on our feature board, and I urge you to try it before it is gone. This wine is dry but the fruit is very forward and pronounced, well balanced and medium to full bodied, and it has been very well received. So much so that we are likely to run out this weekend. But fear not, if it is gone when you get there I have another Cabernet blend from California that is waiting for its place from Michael Pozzan which I like as well. I also want to remind you of the other wine from Revelry that is available but not on our list, Block 19 Syrah. This is the wine that is not inexpensive, in fact a “*” wine, but is perhaps the best wine I have tasted in the last year or so. Often in the wine world one gets what one pays for, and this is a perfect example. Just a thought.

We hope you are warm and well, and please take care removing the tons of snow in your driveways. Thanks for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

P.S. I want to give a shout out to our friends who are both guests of Fairview Hospital this week. Speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing you soon.
