Weekend Specials


You’d think I’d know by now, but it sure can be crazy around here sometimes. And I am not thinking now of events in the back or front of our “house”, as true and as tempting as they are. Non, mes amis, I refer to the temps around here. Just last week I was noting how warm it had gotten all of a sudden, yet now we probably can reach for the blanket for a comfy sleep. Consistently would be appreciated. Like, say, in restaurants. We for our part do our best to be consistent in both food and service, and to offer some interesting and tasty specials both nightly and on weekends. Take this weekend, when we are featuring Certified Angus Beef Bone-in Ribeye Steaks, Hawaiian Mong Chong Fish (which is not only tasty but fun to say!) and Pacific Lane Snapper. Remember there is always some Veal and Shrimp and Clams and Mussels and Calamari and Chicken and Pasta and Eggplant and……as well.

We also try to be consistent in our wine offerings. The feature board has not changed this week as all the wines continue to be very well received. They include the Cabernet from Joel Gott, the red blend from Spain Location E, the white blend from California, Conundrum, the excellent Sangiovese blend from Ferrari-Carano, Siena, and the also excellent Pinot Noir from Oregon, Hawks View. I expect to receive a handful of a pricey but very good Cabernet from Caymus tomorrow, which also might be a thought. Often you get what you pay for, and this is definitely is the case with this wine. Excellent fruit and body, structure and balance, all one expects from a high end California Cabernet.
