The slightly cooler temps were welcome, non? I mean, I have established that we are big fans of summer and all, with all that one can do (like heading out to a fine dining establishment, but I digress), but as they say, there is a time for every season, and June is not the time for August weather. But it is a pretty good time to have a fine dinner. Like, for instance, at Fratello’s, when this weekend we will be featuring Pork Tenderloin, Golden Tilefish and Wild Alaskan Ivory King Salmon. The wild salmon is available now, and I urge you to try it if you haven’t already. It is not only exceptional, but very good for you as well, so it wins on all levels. Of course, we might also have some Fratello entrees as well, such as Veal Saltimbocca, Chicken Rollotini, Shrimp Fratello, Eggplant Parmigiana, Linguini with Clams….
My wine features remain the same, although I misspoke last week when I mentioned we were featuring Rosso di Montalcino from Avignonesi. It is a Rosso di Montepulciano, but it is a Sangiovese wine from Tuscany, and it is very good. I have picked up a few new Pinot Noir wines recently, all from California. We have many Pinots on our list, from California, Oregon and France, and it is a very versatile grape, working very well with everything from Chicken to Salmon. It is fair to say that we have a varied wine list, and I am sure that we have a wine that you will enjoy. Thanks for your continued support all these years, regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us. We hope you are well, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
