This winter sure has been a wild ride. It looks like we are going to be on the plus side soon, meaning above average temps for a change. Hallelujah! Look on the bright side, the days are longer – and will be much longer after this weekend! – the sun seems warmer, golf is on the tube again, baseball is soon coming back, we are on our way. Now I know it is the Lenten season, and that some of you observe the traditions, but remember that we always have fresh seafood on weekends. Like this very weekend, when we will be featuring Golden Tile Fish from Massachusetts and North Atlantic Halibut, with the many other non-meat entrees we offer, such as shrimp and clams and mussels and eggplant and pasta and cod and…And for you carnivores out there, this weekend we will be featuring Berkshire Farms “Karabuta” Pork Chops, along with Veal Saltimbocca and Veal Fratello and Chicken Rollo and Chicken Rocco and Veal Fratello and Chicken Fratello and…We’d love to see ya’!
I have added a new Italian red wine to our feature board , the 2010 “Lucilla” Toscana Rosso, which is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot. An excellent wine rated 90 points by the Wine Advocate, this “Super Tuscan” style wine is very good with our menu. It is the second of several Sangiovese based blends that I intend to add to our feature program. I also received an affordable Amarone from Accordini Igino, Le Bessole, which is available but not yet on our wine list. This 92 point rated wine by Wine Enthusiast is very limited, and we are able to offer it at $46/bottle, which is inexpensive for a quality Amarone. Lastly, I hope to receive some very good Shiraz from Australia this weekend t add to our wine list that you will enjoy. One is inexpensive and the other is amazing but more costly, ask me about them if you mosey in.
Thank you for all your support during these frigid months. We hope you are well and we look forward to seeing you soon.
