Now this is the kind of summer I like. Warm, yes, but not brutal. Our kitchen is still toasty, but does not feel like you are operating inside an oven, as it did just a few days ago. But that’s our problem, and we plan on offering you, toasty or not, fine food and, bien sur, wine. Like this weekend, when we will be featuring Pilot Rack of Lamb, Chilean Sea Bass and Ivory King Salmon, which we all know is all so good for you. And we will also be featuring some Veal & Shrimp & Chicken & Clams & Mussels & Eggplant & Pasta &….I know it’s a special weekend coming up, with some of you traveling and maybe having a cookout or two, but we’d love to see ya’!
On our wine board, along with the Cab from Joel Gott and the Sangiovese blend, Siena, from Ferrari-Carano, we continue to offer the Italian red from Montepulciano, Rosso, and the red blend from Portugal, Confidencial Reserve, which is nearly gone. In the wings await a red from Piedmont and I plan on bringing back the excellent red blend from Jax, Y3 Taureau. This wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah and Zinfandel and was very well received on its first time on the feature board. The goal of the vineyard is to produce an approachable, everyday drinking wine with quality fruit that is very food friendly. On this they are successful. All these wines offer both quality and value, and I urge you to try them. As I said before, I am a big fan of wines from Portugal, so I urge you again to try them, be it the Confidencial on the feature board or the other three reds from Portugal on our wine list.
We want to wish you a very happy and safe Fourth of July. Thanks for your continued support, it is both humbling and gratifying. Take care, and we hope to see you soon.
P.S. How about the Tribe!!
