A strange week we’ve had, non? Last weekend we were basking with temps in the 40’s and close to 50 (okay, you southern readers, no smirking!), by Monday and Tuesday we’re flirting with minus 30 or lower wind chills, and this weekend we head back to the 40’s and maybe even 50 again. And let’s not bring up the water! What is going on? It makes one wish for a little consistency and normalcy. Speaking of, you know we have been here for over 21 years now, so we know a little something about consistency, and maybe even normalcy (okay, so maybe I’m stretching it here). Anyway, we’d love to see you this weekend and help us start the new year on the right foot. We will be featuring Wild Scottish Salmon, fresh Flounder and Rib Eye Cap Steaks, which are amazing. And rumor has it that there might be some special appetizers for you to enjoy as well. It does not look like the weather will hold you back this weekend, so we hope you’ll consider joining us.
The weather this week has also affected our wine and beverage purveyors, so we continue to feature the Cab from Joel Gott, Locations E from Spain, Nero D’Avola from Italy and Chakana Malbec from Argentina on our feature board. As I have said before, many times, we have a lot of wines on our list, from all over the world. Among the countries represented is Australia, and we have several wines from Mollydooker that I urge you to try. These include the Cabernet Maitre’D, the Shiraz called The Boxer and the excellent Blue Eyed Boy, also a Shiraz, which offers more body and fruit. And we have the Shiraz/Cabernet/Merlot blend called Two Left Feet, which made #38 on the Wine Spectator top 100 wines of the world. Mollydooker is well respected and makes excellent wines at a variety of price points, and their wines work well with our menu. Of course there are also Cabs from California, Amarones from Italy, Rioja from Spain, Chianti and Garnacha and Barolo and Merlot and Pinots
We hope you made it through the week safely and in good health. Look on the bright side – we not only made it but learned what the heck a Polar Vortex is, as if we wanted to know. Thanks for all your support all these months and years, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
