Nuts, it looks like our run of warm temps and decent weather is about to close, at least temporarily. It was good while it lasted, and my fingers are crossed that those days have not totally left us yet. But days like today – and what they tell us tomorrow & Saturday are going to be – are just perfect for you know what – fine Italian food & wine! And should you consider joining us at Fratello’s this weekend, just saying, we will be featuring Pork Belly, Hogsnapper Fish and Wild King Salmon, which you know is all so good for you. And guess what, these type of days work just as well for Veal Saltimbocca and Chicken Fratello and Shrimp Fratello and Chicken Sovina and Clams Casino and Calamari and Pasta Marinara and Veal Fratello and….

On our wine board we are still featuring the Cabernet blend from Revelry Vineyards from Washington, The Reveler, which joins the Cab from Joel Gott and the Sangiovese blend from Ferari Carano, Siena. Both of those latter two wines have been with us for some time now, and I continue to feature them because they provide both quality and value (i.e. I like ’em). In the wings I plan to bring out a Malbec blend from Argentina, and next week I hope to receive another wine from Argentina that also offers quality and value, this time in a Cabernet blend. I also hope to receive a new wine from Bordeaux, France, that I was able to taste recently. This wine is a blend of 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and is a very good intro to the wonderful wines from this renowned wine region. Just ask, I am sure we can pair you with a wine that you will enjoy.

I want to thank everyone who joined us at our wine dinner last Sunday. The wines were excellent and the pairings Craig made with each course were spot on, perhaps the best wine dinner we have hosted thus far. Several of the wines we poured I plan to add to our wine program, they were that good. Thanks again to all attended.
