Greetings!

Getting pretty chilly out, non? I have heard the dreaded “s” word mentioned – you know, not “sun”, that other 4 letter “s” word. You know what I’m thinking, right? But this time of year is perfect to cozy yourself with some warm, comforting food & wine, just like what we try to provide you with at Fratello’s. Take this weekend, for instance, when we will be featuring Certified Angus Beef Delmonico Steak, Arctic Char (which we all know is so good for you) and Chilean Sea Bass, which has its admirers (you know who you are). Come join us, the heat’s on, I replaced the equipment that went down last week, the corkscrews are primed, everything should arrive fresh tomorrow, all we’ll need is you. Hope to see ya’!

In our wine world the Grenache from Treasure Hunter, Cosmic Karma, is nearing the end of its run, but as I mentioned last week, I have another Treasure Hunter waiting off stage to join the performance. The Cabernet from Washington is my favorite of all Treasure Hunter wines I have ever tried, and I stocked up so our supply should be decent. It should join the board this weekend. The other Cabernet on the board is from Italy, to be more specific from Bolgheri on the west coast of Tuscany, and this inexpensive wine gives you a sense of the wines from this important wine region known for their Cabernet and Cab blended wines. It is an old world type of Cabernet – think of Bordeaux rather than Napa – and works well with our menu. Come enjoy some wine with us.

As I mentioned last week, I have started to take reservations for our New Year’s Eve celebrations. We take reservations for all size parties, unlike our normal procedures, with seatings at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30, and we serve our normal, weekend menu. Call – do not email – for a reservation. We have a good time and have always sold out in advance, so consider joining us.

We hope you are well and warm, but if not come join us and we’ll do our part to warm you up. Thanks for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon. Take care.

Ciao
