Well, look on the bright side. At least the days are longer. I know winter is but a month old, but it sure seems a lot older than that, if you know what I mean. Time to go, or at least with a touch less snow, and a little warmer would be nice too. But don’t despair, spring is but 2 months away (or at least it is supposed to be, but you know how it goes around here), and there is still some good food and wine to be had. Do not succumb to cabin fever, join us at Fratello’s this weekend, when we will be featuring Certified Angus Beef Delmonico or Rib-Eye Steaks, fresh Atlantic Halibut (first catch of the year!) and Jumbo Sea Scallops from our friends at New Bedford, MA. Remember, inside Fratello’s it can be whatever season you want it to be, so trek through the snow, join us inside and pretend it’s a lot warmer out, and enjoy a fine meal.
I have added a new wine from Italy to our feature board. Pegasus “Toscana” is a “Super” Tuscan blend of Sangiovese and Syrah, soft and very approachable, medium bodied with bright acidity to work well with our menu. Only 220 cases of this wine were produced, so our supply is limited, but this is a very enjoyable wine. I have also added Conway Irish Ale to our taps. This is always one of my favorite brews from Great Lakes, and I know it’s early but St. Paddy’s Day will be here before you know it. Just a thought.
Thanks for all your support, no matter what Mother Nature throws at us. It is very much appreciated. Be careful out there, and we hope to see you soon.
